Ecco il profilo di Jukka Lilstrang von Wendt, dalla Finlandia, che giudicherà al nostro Raduno del 70° Anniversario del CPLI: Il suo percorso nel mondo delle esposizioni canine è iniziato nel 1992 con il suo primo barboncino di taglia media. Solo due anni dopo, nel 1994, ancora adolescente, ha compiuto l’ambizioso passo di dedicarsi all’allevamento di barboncini. Quella che era iniziata come semplice curiosità si è rapidamente trasformata in una passione profondamente gratificante e attiva che dura ormai da oltre trent’anni. Nel 2002, un nuovo capitolo si è aperto con l’introduzione dei levrieri italiani nel suo programma di allevamento. Questa razza elegante e affascinante rimane nel suo cuore e continua ad allevarla e a esporla attivamente ancora oggi. Negli ultimi anni, si è anche dedicato all’allevamento dei Rhodesian Ridgeback. Sebbene il suo lavoro con questa razza sia ancora agli inizi, lo ha già portato nuove prospettive ed esperienze arricchenti nel mondo cinofilo. Nel corso della sua carriera, si è occupato anche di razze come il Chinese Crested Dog e il Levriero afgano. Ha allevato più di 200 cani, molti dei quali hanno ottenuto titoli di Campione del Mondo, Campione Europeo e numerosi titoli nazionali. Il suo lavoro di allevamento è stato riconosciuto con il più alto riconoscimento del Kennel Club finlandese per gli allevatori, il Premio Vuolasvirta, che ha ricevuto due volte: per i Barboni di taglia media e per i Levrieri Italiani. Inoltre, ha ricevuto il Premio di Allevamento dell’Associazione Allevatori Finlandesi (SUKOKA) per il suo lavoro con i Levrieri Italiani. Ha iniziato la sua carriera come giudice di conformazione nel 2019, inizialmente giudicando i Barboni. Da allora, ha esteso i suoi diritti di giudizio includendo razze del Gruppo 9 e del Gruppo 10 della FCI, e attualmente sta ulteriormente ampliando il suo portfolio con il Gruppo 6 della FCI. E’ già giudice per razze come il Rhodesian Ridgeback e il Dalmata. Professionalmente, è un veterinario e proprietario di tre cliniche veterinarie in Finlandia. I suoi principali campi di interesse includono cardiologia, anestesia, chirurgia avanzata e odontoiatria. Questa formazione professionale influenza fortemente la sua filosofia di giudizio: attribuisce grande importanza alla salute, alla struttura solida e al temperamento equilibrato. Here is the profile of Jukka Lilstrang von Wendt from Finland, who will be judging at our CPLI 70th Anniversary Specialty Show:

His journey into the world of dog shows began in 1992 with his first Medium Poodle. Just two years later, in 1994, while still a teenager, he took the ambitious step of starting his own breeding programme. What began as simple curiosity quickly developed into a deeply rewarding and active passion that has now lasted for more than thirty years.

In 2002, a new chapter began with the introduction of Italian Greyhounds into his breeding programme. This elegant and fascinating breed has remained close to his heart, and he continues to actively breed and exhibit Italian Greyhounds to this day.

In recent years, he has also started breeding Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Although his work with this breed is still in its early stages, it has already brought him new perspectives and enriching experiences within the world of dogs.

Throughout his career, he has also worked with breeds such as the Chinese Crested Dog and the Afghan Hound. He has bred more than 200 dogs, many of which have achieved World Champion, European Champion and numerous national Champion titles.

His breeding achievements have been recognised with the Vuolasvirta Award, the highest distinction awarded to breeders by the Finnish Kennel Club. He has received this prestigious award twice: for Medium Poodles and for Italian Greyhounds. In addition, he has received the Breeding Award of the Finnish Breeders’ Association (SUKOKA) for his work with Italian Greyhounds.

He began his career as a conformation judge in 2019, initially judging Poodles. Since then, he has expanded his judging rights to include breeds from FCI Groups 9 and 10, and is currently further expanding his portfolio to include FCI Group 6. He is already licensed to judge breeds such as the Rhodesian Ridgeback and Dalmatian.

Professionally, he is a veterinarian and the owner of three veterinary clinics in Finland. His main areas of expertise include cardiology, anaesthesia, advanced surgery and dentistry.

His professional background strongly influences his judging philosophy: he places great importance on health, sound structure and a balanced temperament.

His passion for animals extends beyond dogs. Horses have been part of his life since childhood, and although he no longer actively competes in dressage, equestrian sports remain an important part of his life and continue to hold a special place in his heart.
